Protect Your Water-Using Appliances
A 2009 study commissioned by the Water Quality Research Foundation (WQRF) and conducted by the Battelle Memorial Institute found that adding whole home water treatment helps water heaters and major appliances operate as efficiently as possible, while preventing clogs in showerheads, faucets, and drains.
Less Cleaning, Fewer Chemicals
Soft, filtered water can remove mineral deposits from glasses, silverware, dishes, faucets, fixtures, and shower glass so you can clean less and enjoy your home and family more!
Softer Skin & Hair
Hard water and water that contains high amounts of dissolved minerals can bind with soap when you wash your hands, body, and hair leaving your skin and scalp dry and itchy. Many people spend a lot of money on lotions, shampoos, conditioners, and cosmetics trying to counteract the effects of hard water. Think of how much money you’d save if you fixed the root of the problem – the water!
Longer-lasting, Brighter Laundry
Whole house filters can remove damaging minerals from your water that literally beat your clothes up in the washing machine leaving them dingy and dull. Protect your clothes easily by installing a whole house filter from New Jersey Water Purification.
Common Issues Whole House Filters Solve
Water should look like nothing, smell like nothing, and taste like nothing.
If your water has a taste, an odor, or a hue other than crystal clear, it’s likely you’ll benefit from a whole house filter. The first step is to identify what’s in your water and then apply the right solution to fix it. A great first step is to schedule a free home water test with an expert from New Jersey Water Purification.
How to Choose the Best Water Filter System
Water quality can vary house to house, so it’s important to understand what’s in your water before you decide on the right type of filter. A free water test can tell you how hard your water is, how much iron is present, if there is chlorine in the water and to what amount, and can also tell you the pH of your water. While all of these are important and can go a long way to helping you understand your water quality and what needs to be done to improve your water, a full laboratory analysis is the most complete solution for water testing.
Once you’ve performed a water test, a local water expert can help you identify the best filter. New Jersey Water Purification’s vast network of professional, qualified dealers can you help you through this process so you don’t waste money on filters that aren’t right for your water and your home.
The Difference Between Water Softeners and Water Filters
Water softeners work to remove hardness minerals like calcium and magnesium through a process called ion exchange. The water passes through a tank that contains thousands of tiny beads that are charged with sodium ions. As the water runs through the beads, the calcium and magnesium are exchanged from sodium ions softening your water.
Filters mostly do not use ion exchange, rather they weather use adsorption for chlorine and organics or they literally filter the water much like your coffee filter prevents the coffee grounds from entering the coffee pot.
